Basalt Line started in 2011 when a concreter who was tired of fixing other people's cracked driveways decided to start pouring his own.

Our story

The difference between a driveway that lasts five years and one that lasts forty is mostly underground. A deeper base, compacted in layers. Steel on chairs, not lying on the dirt. Joints cut in the right places, on the day.

None of it is glamorous and you'll never see it, which is exactly why some crews skip it. We don't, and we write it into every quote so you can check.

We're a crew of eight with our own pump and our own bobcat, which means we set the schedule instead of waiting on hire companies.

Why Basalt Line

Concrete fails from the ground up. Most cracked driveways had a thin base, no steel, or joints in the wrong place. We dig out, compact in layers, lay mesh on chairs and cut control joints where the slab wants to move, so the cracks you'd normally get go where we put them.
